The Location
Margam Castle is a Tudor Gothic castle that was built in the mid-1800’s. It has many spectacular features, such as the beautiful winding staircase and an old Cistercian Abbey; the castle is located near Port Talbot, South Wales.
The Event
First of all you will be taken on a tour of the castle grounds by the butler where you will be told the history of the castle and begin to understand why no one has inhabited this place for over a hundred years!
Upon entering the castle you will receive refreshments and then take part in a ghost hunt. Your guide will lead you through the castle in complete darkness, with just a torch to light the way. Past visitors have reported hearing strange noises and screams, many have seen and experienced much more! If you do become too nervous a member of our events staff will escort you back to the main hall.
The tour and ghost hunt run from 9pm –12pm after which guests have the option to spend the night until 7am. If guests wish to stay the whole night they will have to bring their own sleeping bags as there are no beds to sleep in.
